What is HOSSFLY?

The Historic Ocean Springs Saltwater Flyfishing Club or HOSSFLY is dedicated to enjoying and promoting flyfishing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. HOSSFLY is a great place to learn, and improve your skills. It's also a great place to have some fly-fishing fun, partner with other fly-fishers on trips, and learn new places to fish. We also have fly tying classes, casting clinics, and a variety of other activities. But our main focus is always on fishing.

The club organizes a number of trips every year, typically one per month. These include a few out-of-town trips, too. Popular destinations in the past are Apalachicola for tarpon and north Georgia for trout.

Annual dues are only $15.00 for an individual or family. You won't find a better fishing bargain anywhere.

Monthly Meetings

Guests are always welcome at our regular monthly meetings. We get together on the second Wednesday of each month at the Ocean Springs Yacht Club on Front Beach near the bay bridge in Ocean Springs. There's an informal happy hour that begins at about 5:00 pm and the meeting kicks off at 6:00.

Download a membership application here or just come to a monthly meeting and introduce yourself. Our membership includes both beginners and experts. If you're curious about flyfishing, come join us and we'll loan you a rod and show you what it's about.
