HOSSFLy members only Fishing Tournament and Fish Fry

August the 15th and 16th.

The winner will be deemed Angler of the Year and an award will be given to this individual at the annual banquet in January. The tournament is for MEMBERS of HOSSFly only.

Rules:

1. All fish must be caught on a traditional fly rod and fly.

2. No fish can be boated prior to 7:00 am, Saturday, August the 15th.

This is a points tournament (all fish must be Mississippi legal). Points will be awarded in four categories as follows: Angler may enter all 4 categories.*

• Speckled Trout: 1 point each, limited to 5 fish.
• Red (drum) Fish: 2 points each, limited to 3 fish.
• Flounder: 1 point each, limited to 5 fish
• Cobia: 5 points, limited to 1 fish

*You are limited to the number of fish you can enter for points, you are not limited to the number of fish you can bring to the fish fry!

The angler with the most points is the winner. In the event of a tie, anglers will be eligible to WEIGH one fish. The angler with biggest fish is the Angler of the Year.

Weigh In:

Weigh in will be held at the Ocean Springs Yacht Club starting at 3:00 pm, ending at 4:00 pm on Sunday the 16th. Fish Fry to follow.

Participants enter the tournament at their own risk and the tournament is a Captain’s Choice, there is no “weather “or “lay” days. Each angler will fish at their discretion and accepts full responsibility for their respective decisions.

The weigh master’s decision is final with regards to points awarded.

A Fish Fry and Covered Dish Dinner will follow the weigh in on Sunday.

All member of HOSSFly are welcome to attend the fish fry on Sunday afternoon. Individuals are asked to bring a covered dish.

All beverages must be purchased from OSYC.
