FELLOW HOSSFLYERS:

 

The article on Fly Leaders is here .  Please read it along with the article on Lines prior to our meeting Wednesday, August 12 at OSYC.  We will talk about the use of this material as it applies to casting and fishing situations.  The following night THURSDAY, AUGUST 13 AT 6 PM WE HAVE RESERVED THE BASEMENT OF OSYC FROM 6 PM TO 8 PM FOR A LEADER TYING SESSION.  We have 60lb, Trilene on down to 15 lb and will tie a basic 9 foot leader.  BRING THE FLY LINE TO WHICH YOU WANT TO ATTACH THE LEADER AS WE WILL BE MEASURING THE TIP SECTION OF YOUR FLY LINE TO MATCH MASS PROFILES.   If time permits we will tie 8 and 10 foot leaders with different recipes. Hopefully, you'll be ready to use your leader to fish our Angler of the Year Tournament beginning two days later.

 

In addition Mike Sharpe will tie some furled leaders.
